Actually, I wanted to import my project from the previous host in Google Code to Github. Unfortunately, I always failed when trying to grabbing the authors (yes, it has different author's name for google code and github).
If you want to move out from your subversion host, just go to http://github.com/[githubUsername]/[projectName]/imports/new
